Anton Holban was a Romanian writer born on February 10, 1902, in Huşi. He passed away on January 15, 1937, in Bucharest. He was known for writing novels, which are long stories about people and events. Anton Holban was also the nephew of a well-known literary critic named Eugen Lovinescu.
Anton Holban was the son of Gheorghe Holban and Antoaneta Lovinescu. Besides being a writer, he also worked as a French teacher. He started his writing career by reading parts of his novels at his uncle's literary club, called Sburătorul. This was his first public appearance as a writer.
