Learning and Working

Antonella Cupillari studied math at the University of L'Aquila in Italy. She earned her first degree there in 1978. Later, she continued her studies in the United States. She completed her Ph.D. (a very high university degree) at the University at Albany, SUNY in 1984. Her Ph.D. research was about a complex area of math called functional analysis.

After finishing her studies, Professor Cupillari started teaching at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College in 1984. She became an associate professor in 1992.

Professor Cupillari has written several books about mathematics and its history. These books help students understand math better.
