Antonina Domańska was born in September 1853. Her birthplace was Kamieniec Podolski, which is now in Ukraine. We don't know the exact day she was born. Her father, Aleksander Kremer, was a doctor. Her mother was Modesta Płońska.
Antonina was also the aunt of a well-known poet named Lucjan Rydel. In 1865, she moved to a city called Kraków in Poland. There, she met Stanisław Domański, who would become her husband. He was also a doctor.
In 1900, Antonina Domańska attended her nephew Lucjan Rydel's wedding. This wedding took place in a village near Kraków called Bronowice. Because she was there, she was included as a character in a famous play. This play was called Wesele, which means The Wedding, and it was written by Stanisław Wyspiański. Antonina Domańska passed away on January 26, 1917.

Antonina Domańska wrote many books, especially for young readers. Her most famous books are:
