Armells, Montana facts for kids
Armells is what we call a ghost town in Fergus County, Montana, in the United States. A ghost town is a place where most or all people have left, often because a local industry or resource ran out.
What Happened to Armells?
Armells was once a small community. It even had its own post office! A post office is where people send and receive mail. The Armells post office opened in 1890. It helped people living there stay connected.
The town got its name from a nearby stream called Armells Creek. Over time, fewer and fewer people lived in Armells. The post office eventually closed down in 1937. This meant the town was no longer active. Today, Armells is just a memory of a past community.
