About Arroyo Vista
Arroyo Vista is made up of homes, often called homesteads, that are built on large pieces of land. Each property is about five acres in size. These homes are located north of a place called Green Valley.
Community Road
The people living in Arroyo Vista work together to take care of their main road, Arroyo Vista Way. This road is about one mile long and has 66 different properties along it.
They manage the road through an elected group called a community services district. This district is like a small local organization. It helps residents handle common needs, such as maintaining their shared road.
Staying Independent
In 1998, there was a discussion about Arroyo Vista becoming part of a nearby town called El Dorado Hills. However, the landowners in Arroyo Vista decided they wanted to remain independent. They chose not to join El Dorado Hills, keeping their community unincorporated.
