Ashley Romans (born December 28, 1992) is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as the secret agent Agent 355 in the TV show Y: The Last Man, Hermione Granger in the web series Hermione Granger and the Quarter Life Crisis, and Tabitha Hutter in NOS4A2.
Early Life and Education
Ashley Romans was born in New York City. Her dream to become an actress started when she saw her older sister perform in a high school play. Her sister played the character Ruth in the play A Raisin in the Sun.
This experience inspired Romans to study acting. She went to Pace University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theater in 2015.
Acting Career
Romans began her professional acting career after college. In 2017, she won an important award, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Lead Performance. She received this for her role in a play called Rotterdam. In the play, she portrayed a character going through a major personal journey.
In 2020, Romans took on the lead role of Agent 355 in the TV show Y: The Last Man. This show, which came out in 2021, is based on a popular comic book series. She replaced another actress, Lashana Lynch, for the part.
