Astley Baker Davies is a British animation studio located in London, England. It was started by Neville Astley, Mark Baker, and Phil Davies. This company is famous for creating popular TV shows like The Big Knights, Peppa Pig, and Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom.
In 2015, Astley Baker Davies became part of a larger company called Entertainment One. Entertainment One owned 70% of the studio. Later, in 2023, Hasbro Entertainment took over this ownership. This made Astley Baker Davies a main part of Hasbro's new entertainment division.
On March 16, 2021, it was announced that Peppa Pig would continue until 2027. After 19 years, the original creators and Astley Baker Davies decided to step away from producing the show. Another animation studio, Karrot Animation, started making Peppa Pig from 2023 onwards.
