Asuka Tateishi (立石 飛鳥, Tateishi Asuka, born June 9, 1983) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender during his career. Asuka Tateishi was born in Makurazaki, Kagoshima, Japan. He played for several clubs in Japan before he retired from professional football in 2009.

Asuka Tateishi's Football Journey
Asuka Tateishi was born on June 9, 1983, in Makurazaki, Japan. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career. In 2002, he joined Avispa Fukuoka, a club in the J2 League. He got chances to play in his very first season.
Playing for Different Teams
In October 2003, Asuka Tateishi went on loan to Thespa Kusatsu. This meant he played for them for a short time. Thespa Kusatsu was a club in the Japanese Regional Leagues. After his loan, he returned to Avispa Fukuoka in 2004. However, he did not play many matches then.
In September 2005, he moved to another J2 League club, Sagan Tosu. Again, he found it hard to get much playing time there.
Joining V-Varen Nagasaki
In October 2006, Asuka Tateishi made another move. He joined V-Varen Nagasaki, a club that was in the Regional Leagues at the time. He played many games for them in 2007.
Even though he didn't play as much in 2008, his team, V-Varen Nagasaki, achieved something big. They were promoted to the Japan Football League at the end of that season. He played many matches again in 2009. Asuka Tateishi decided to retire from football at the end of the 2009 season.
