Atiqul Haque Chowdhury (born December 15, 1930 – died June 17, 2013) was a very important person in the media world of Bangladesh. He helped a lot to make Bangladesh Television and radio what they are today.

Who Was Atiqul Haque Chowdhury?
Atiqul Haque Chowdhury started his career in 1960 at Radio Pakistan Dhaka. He worked as a producer and helped organize shows. Later, in 1965, he joined PTV Dhaka.
He was a key figure at BTV during its most successful time. This was from the late 1970s to the late 1980s. He began as a producer and worked his way up. He retired in 1991 as the deputy director general of the TV station.
During his time at BTV, he created over 450 TV plays. He also wrote and directed many good radio plays. For more than 50 years, Atiqul Haque Chowdhury entertained people through radio and television. He loved trying new things with plays. He often used symbols and hidden meanings in his work. These ideas made people think while also being fun to watch.
He also taught at Jahangirnagar University for 11 years. He was a guest teacher in the Drama and Dramatics department. Later, he became an advisor at Ekushey Television.
