Sir Audley McKisack (born April 2, 1903 – died August 16, 1966) was an Irish lawyer and judge. He had a very successful career in law. He worked in many different countries around the world. He even became the President of the High Court in South Arabia. He was also a judge in the Court of Appeal for the Bahamas and Bermuda.

Sir Audley McKisack was born in a place called Craigavad in Ireland. This was in County Down. He was the only son of Audley John and Elizabeth McKisack. He had an older sister named May McKisack. She became a well-known historian.
His Education and Early Career
Sir Audley went to Bedford School. Then, he studied at University College, Oxford. After finishing his studies, he joined the Colonial Service in 1924. This service helped manage countries that were part of the British Empire.
He worked as an Administrative Officer in Northern Rhodesia. This was from 1924 to 1936. In 1935, he became a barrister. A barrister is a type of lawyer who can argue cases in higher courts. He joined a special group for lawyers called the Inner Temple.
His Legal Career Around the World
Sir Audley McKisack held many important legal jobs in different countries:
- From 1938 to 1944, he was a Crown Counsel in Uganda. This means he was a lawyer who represented the government.
- In 1944, he became the Attorney General of Gibraltar. The Attorney General is the main legal advisor to the government.
- In 1950, he was made Secretary to the Ministry of Justice in the Gold Coast. This country is now known as Ghana.
- From 1951 to 1956, he served as the Attorney General of Nigeria.
- He became the Chief Justice of Uganda. This was from 1956 to 1962. The Chief Justice is the most senior judge in a country's court system.
- From 1964 to 1966, he was the President of the High Court in the Federation of South Arabia.
- He also worked as a judge in the Court of Appeal for the Bahamas and Bermuda. This was from 1965 to 1966.
Sir Audley McKisack passed away in Midhurst, Sussex, when he was 63 years old.
