Audrey Dalton (born 21 January 1934) is an Irish-born American actress. She is now retired from acting. She worked mostly in the United States during a time called the Golden Age of Hollywood. This was a period when many classic movies were made.

About Audrey Dalton

Audrey Dalton was born in Dublin, Ireland. Her mother was Alice Shannon. Her father was Emmet Dalton. He was a soldier and also a film producer. Audrey was the third of their five children.

Her father was a brave soldier. He received the Military Cross award. This was for his service in the British Army during World War I. Later, during the Irish Civil War, he was a major general. This means he was a high-ranking officer in the National Army.

Audrey went to school in Dublin. It was called the Convent of the Sacred Heart. Her family later moved to London. There, she studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). This is a very famous acting school.

She moved to the United States on March 17, 1952. She went there for a part in a movie. The movie was called The Girls of Pleasure Island. In 1953, she took a break from acting. This was after her daughter was born. She returned to acting in 1954. In these new roles, she did not use her British accent.

In 1977, Audrey divorced James H. Brown. They had been married for 25 years. They had four children together. In 1979, she married Rod F. Simenz. He was an engineer.

Audrey Dalton appeared in many television shows. She was in six episodes of Wagon Train. This was between 1958 and 1964. In 1958, she played Ellen Curry. Her character received a million-dollar check. This was in an episode of The Millionaire. She also appeared on Perry Mason in 1961. She played Kate Eastman in "The Case of the Injured Innocent." In 1962, she was on Gunsmoke. She appeared in the episode "The Renegades."
