Aurum is a sweet Italian drink made in Pescara, Italy, since 1925. It is made from a type of strong spirit called brandy and a mix of citrus fruits. This gives it a special taste.

Aurum is often enjoyed with sweet foods. It goes especially well with parrozzo, which is a traditional cake from Pescara. Besides being a drink, Aurum is also used in cooking. People often add it to cakes or pour it over ice cream to give them a unique flavor.

The Story Behind the Name

The name "Aurum" has an interesting history. Amedeo Pomilio, who started the Aurum factory, chose the name. He got the idea from a famous Italian poet and writer, Gabriele D'Annunzio.

The name "Aurum" comes from two old Latin words. One is aurum, which means "gold." The other is aurantium, which means "orange" (the fruit). So, the name is a clever play on words, linking the drink to both gold and oranges. This also hints at the drink's ancient Roman roots.
