Aya Cash (born July 13, 1982) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows. These include Gretchen Cutler in the series You're the Worst (2014–2019) and Stormfront in the superhero show The Boys (2020–2022). She also played Cheryl Peterson in the sitcom Welcome to Flatch and Anita in the HBO series The Franchise.
Aya Cash was recognized for her acting in You're the Worst. She was nominated for awards like the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Aya Cash was born in San Francisco, California. Her mother, Kim Addonizio, is a poet and novelist. Her father, Eugene Cash, is a Buddhist teacher. Her grandmother, Pauline Betz, was a famous tennis champion. Her grandfather, Bob Addie, was a sports writer.
Aya Cash went to the San Francisco School of the Arts. She later graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2004. There, she earned a degree in Acting. After college, she moved to New York City to start her acting career. For some time, she worked as a waitress while pursuing her dream.

Cash has a hawk tattooed on her back. She was told that "Aya" means "hawk" in Hebrew. However, she later learned that the word "Aya" in modern Hebrew actually means "honey buzzard".
Aya Cash is also involved in charity work. She is an ambassador for INARA. This organization helps refugee children who have been injured in war get medical care.
