Bagra Peak facts for kids
Bagra Peak is a tall mountain peak in Antarctica. It stands at 2,100 meters (about 6,890 feet) high! This peak is found in the northern part of a place called Petvar Heights. Petvar Heights is in the southeast part of the Sentinel Range, which is a mountain range in the Ellsworth Mountains.
Bagra Peak is surrounded by huge rivers of ice called glaciers. To its northwest, you can see Kornicker Glacier. To the northeast is Razboyna Glacier, and to the east is Drama Glacier.
This peak got its name from a small town in Southern Bulgaria called Bagra.
Where is Bagra Peak?
Bagra Peak is located in a very cold and icy part of the world! Its exact spot is at 78 degrees, 43 minutes, 49 seconds South, and 84 degrees, 27 minutes, 08 seconds West.
It is about 3.52 kilometers (2.19 miles) northeast of Mount Landolt. It's also 14.35 kilometers (8.92 miles) south of Mount Benson. If you go 8.41 kilometers (5.23 miles) west, you'll find Long Peak. And Miller Peak is about 7.12 kilometers (4.42 miles) north of Bagra Peak.
