Barbara was married three times during her life. Her first husband was Sir Richard Mauleverer. He passed away in 1689.

Second Marriage

In 1692, she married John Arundell. He was the 2nd Baron Arundell of Trerice. They lived in Cornwall. Barbara and John had a son named Richard Arundell. Richard grew up to be a Member of Parliament. He also held several important jobs in the government.

Third Marriage

Barbara married her third husband in 1708. He was Thomas Herbert, the 8th Earl of Pembroke. They were married in London. The Earl and Countess had one daughter together. Her name was Lady Barbara Herbert. She later married William Dudley North.

Her Role at the Royal Court

In 1718, Barbara became a Lady of the Bedchamber. This was a special job for a lady at the royal court. She worked for the Princess of Wales, Caroline of Ansbach. Princess Caroline later became Queen of Great Britain. Barbara kept this important position until she passed away in 1721.
