Barron is a small town in Barron County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 813 people lived there. The town of Barron surrounds the separate City of Barron.

Where is Barron Located?

Barron is right in the middle of Barron County. A river called the Yellow River flows through the town from the northwest to the southeast. This river is a branch of the Red Cedar River.

Major roads also cross through Barron. U.S. Route 8 goes from east to west. If you go east about 5 miles (8 km), you'll reach Cameron. Going west about 14 miles (23 km) takes you to Turtle Lake. Wisconsin Highway 25 runs through the town from north to south.

The town covers a total area of about 32.9 square miles (85.3 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small part being water.
