Barry Oberholzer was born in Houston, Texas, United States. His father, Barry Oberholzer Sr., was a consul-general for South Africa at the time. In 1985, after his father's term ended, Barry moved to South Africa.
In 2012, Oberholzer began studying Counter-Intelligence and Terrorism at the American Military University.
Career
Oberholzer started his career working as a marketing manager for Base4 Aviation, a helicopter company based in South Africa.
Technology
In 2017, Oberholzer started a company called SWORD. This company created a special mobile device designed to help prevent injuries during dangerous events like mass shootings. The SWORD device can find hidden items like weapons, knives, and even explosive devices. It can also help identify people who are on special watchlists.
Rugby
