Her Family
Beatrice's mother was named Étiennette, and her father was Bernard II, who was also a Count of Bigorre. She also had a half-sister named Clemence.
Marriage and Role as Countess
In 1077, Lady Beatrice married Centule V, who was the Viscount of Béarn.
In 1080, Beatrice became the Countess of Bigorre. She took over after her brother, Count Raymond of Bigorre. When a woman inherited a land or title during that time, her husband often became a co-ruler with her. So, Centule V ruled alongside Beatrice.
