Beijing National Day School (BNDS) is a well-known public high school in Beijing, China. Its Chinese name means "Beijing City Ten One School." The "National Day" part of its name refers to China's public holiday on October 1st. BNDS is considered one of the best public high schools in China.

The school offers different study programs for students. These include the AP (Advanced Placement) program, the IB DP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme), A-Levels, and the Chinese National Compulsory Curriculum (CNCC). This means students can choose a path that fits their future plans, whether they want to study in China or abroad.

School History: How BNDS Began

Beijing National Day School started a long time ago. It was first opened in September 1952. Back then, it was called the New Beijing Ten One Primary School.

In 1962, the school's name was changed to Beijing City Ten One School. For a while, starting in 1993, it was run by a mix of public and private groups. However, in 2009, it became fully public again.

In 2013, the school's international program received a special approval. This approval came from the International Baccalaureate organization. This meant their international courses met high global standards.

Amazing Facilities: What's Inside BNDS?

BNDS has many cool places for students to learn and play. The school has a lot of sports facilities. You can find an Olympic-size swimming pool there. There are also workout areas and a big gym.
