School History: How BNDS Began
Beijing National Day School started a long time ago. It was first opened in September 1952. Back then, it was called the New Beijing Ten One Primary School.
In 1962, the school's name was changed to Beijing City Ten One School. For a while, starting in 1993, it was run by a mix of public and private groups. However, in 2009, it became fully public again.
In 2013, the school's international program received a special approval. This approval came from the International Baccalaureate organization. This meant their international courses met high global standards.
