  • Yvano Wickham-Edwards's "#BLACK"

After these films, four more short films were made. These new films were by filmmakers from Halifax. They were shown under the title Being Black in Halifax.

What Awards Did They Win?

The filmmakers of Being Black in Toronto received a big honor. They won a Canadian Screen Award in 2021. This award was for Best Direction in a Documentary Series. It was given at the 9th Canadian Screen Awards. This award shows how important and well-made their films were.
