Beit HaNassi facts for kids
Beit HaNassi means "President's House" in Hebrew. It is also known as Mishkan HaNassi, which means "Presidential Residence". This important building is the official home of the President of Israel. You can find it in Jerusalem, a major city in Israel.
The building first opened its doors in 1971. This happened after the Israeli government decided that the president needed a special home provided by the state. In 2011, the building needed some major repairs. Work began to fix problems that were found in the structure.
