Ben Peyton was born in 1977. He is a former British actor. He is well-known for playing PC Ben Hayward in the TV show The Bill. He was on the show from 2000 to 2002.
Early Life and Sports
Ben Peyton went to Millfield School in Somerset. While there, he was a great squash player. He became the National Schools Squash Champion twice. This happened in 1994 and again in 1995. After school, he studied acting. He went to the Guildford School of Acting. He finished his studies there in 1998.
Acting Career
After acting school, Ben appeared in many corporate videos and advertisements. He then got a role in a CITV show called Welcome to Orty Fou. He also had parts in the famous series Band of Brothers. Later, he joined the cast of The Bill as a regular character. He also appeared in other popular TV shows. These included Emmerdale and Holby City.
Ben stopped acting full-time in 2006. However, he did return to the stage for some special roles. He performed in plays like ART and Journey’s End. These plays were shown at Guildford’s Electric Theatre.
Podcasting and Writing
In 2017, Ben Peyton shared his experiences from his acting career. He talked about his time on The Bill in particular. He was a guest on The Bill Podcast. This was in the second episode of the podcast series.
More recently, Ben has become an author. In 2022, he published his first novel. The book is called Luke Stevens and the Blood of St George. It is an action-adventure fantasy story. It is written for young people aged 10 to 15. Adults can enjoy it too!
