Benetice is a small village in the Czech Republic. It is part of a bigger town called Světlá nad Sázavou. Benetice is located in the Vysočina Region. In 2021, only 18 people lived there.

What is the History of Benetice?

Benetice once had a glass factory. This factory made glass products. The factory is not there anymore. But some local places still have names from the factory. For example, there are places called Na sušírnách and Sklárenský Pond. These names remind people of the old glass factory.

A special linden tree grows in the village. It was planted in 1945. This was the year World War II ended.

What is the Economy Like in Benetice?

Benetice has a recreation camp. This camp was once a Pionýr camp. It was a place for young people to stay. Kids from Hungary, Poland, and Germany often visited this camp. It was a popular spot for summer fun.
