Bergljót Arnalds (born October 15, 1968) is an Icelandic actress, writer, and TV producer. She is famous for writing popular children's books and for her work on television. She even won a special award in Iceland called AUÐAR-verðlaunin. This award was for creating the very first Icelandic computer game, Stafakarlarnir.
Bergljót is well-known for her best-selling children's books. She also produced and hosted a children's TV show called 2001 nights. This show was broadcast on SkjárEinn.
She has acted in many plays and movies. Some of her roles include playing Dolly in The Devil's Island and Lucy in Dracula. She also played Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire and Sophie in Sophie's World.
