The Tamar and Trine Stories

The book included a special song called "Jorden snurrer rundt og rundt med barn på alle kanter". This means "The world turns round and round with children on all sides". This song became very popular and was even included in songbooks for schoolchildren.

Berit wrote two more books that continued the story of Tamar and Trine:

  • Tai-mi, Tamar og Trines søster (published in 1959)
  • Tom Tangloppe, bror til Tamar, Trine og Ta-mi (published in 1960)

The Tørris Trilogy

It's a peaceful and charming story about rural life.

Both the "Tamar and Trine" books and the "Tørris" series had beautiful pictures. These illustrations were created by an artist named Borghild Rud.
