Bernard Bell's Career Journey
His Education and Early Work
Bernard Bell studied at two famous universities. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. He then received his law degree, called a Juris Doctor (J.D.), from Stanford University. While at Stanford, he was an editor for the Stanford Law Review. This is a journal where legal articles are published.
After law school, Mr. Bell worked for important judges. He was a "law clerk" for Judge Amalya L. Kearse. She worked at the U.S. Court of Appeals. He also clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Byron R. White. A law clerk helps judges with their research and writing.
