His unique nickname, "Biju," comes from a vegetable dish he enjoyed eating when he was a child. Biju played as a midfielder, which is a player who helps both defend and attack on the field.
Biju's Football Journey
Biju started his football career in his home country, Brazil. He played professionally there for three years before moving to Japan. In 1999, he joined Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, a team in the J2 League. The J2 League is one of Japan's top professional football leagues.
He played for Consadole Sapporo until 2002. During his time there, he helped the team achieve success. After that, Biju moved to another Japanese team, Kyoto Purple Sanga, in 2003. He played for them for two years.
Later, in 2005, Biju joined Sagan Tosu. In 2006, he moved to Ventforet Kofu. He then played for Mito HollyHock starting in mid-2007. Biju finished his professional football career playing for Zweigen Kanazawa in the Japanese Regional Leagues in 2009.
