The First Movie
The very first and most popular story was Jakher Dhan. This means "Treasure of the Sacred Spirit." Director Haricharan Bhanja made it into a movie in 1939. Famous actors like Chhaya Devi, Ahindra Choudhury, and Jahar Ganguly starred in it.
TV Serial
In the 1990s, another Bimal-Kumar story became a TV serial. It was called Abar Jakher Dhan.
Recent Movies
More recently, a new Bengali movie called Jawker Dhan was released. It came out in August 2017. Sayantan Ghoshal directed this film. Parambrata Chatterjee played Bimal, and Rahul Banerjee played Kumar. In 2019, a sequel to this movie was released. It was titled Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan.
