Blart II: The Boy Who Was Wanted Dead Or Alive - Or Both is an exciting fantasy novel. It is the second book in the popular Blart series by Dominic Barker. This book was released in 2007. It was published by Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. The story continues the adventures of Blart, a boy who never wanted to be a hero.
Plot Summary
After saving the world in the first book, Blart is now living a peaceful life. He owns a pig farm and enjoys his quiet days. But his calm life doesn't last long. A clever merchant named Uther tricks Blart. Uther challenges Blart to a card game called "Muggins." Blart ends up losing everything he owns and even his freedom!
The Game of Muggins
"Muggins" seems like a simple game. The dealer picks two cards. One card goes to the player, and the dealer keeps the other. Both players then show their cards. If the cards are the same, the dealer wins. If they are different, the player wins. Blart thinks the odds are in his favor. He believes he can win money from Uther.
However, Uther is very tricky. As soon as Blart starts betting, Uther begins to win every single round. Blart quickly realizes he's been fooled.
A New Quest Begins
Suddenly, Blart's friend Capablanca arrives. He brings shocking news. Blart and his friends, the "questors," are now wanted. People believe they are working for the evil Zoltab. This is a big problem, because Blart and his friends were the ones who imprisoned Zoltab!
So, Blart, Capablanca, and Uther must go on a new quest. Uther has to help them because he's wanted for being with Blart. Their mission is to find and warn the other questors. They need to gather their old team.
Proving Their Innocence
The original group of heroes comes together again. The only one missing is the dwarf Tungsten, who sadly passed away. Their goal is to travel to the place where Capablanca imprisoned Zoltab. They hope to prove their innocence by showing everyone that Zoltab is still locked away. But there's a problem: Capablanca can't quite remember where he put Zoltab! This makes their journey even more challenging.
