Bnin, Kórnik facts for kids
Bnin (pronounced like bneen) is a small, interesting place in Poland. It's part of the larger town of Kórnik, which is located southwest of the big city of Poznań. Bnin is special because it sits right between two beautiful lakes: Lake Kórnickie and Lake Bnińskie.
Bnin's History: From Town to Part of Kórnik
For a very long time, Bnin was its own independent town. This was from the year 1395 all the way until 1934. Imagine, it had its own town hall and its own rules! However, things changed in 1961 when Bnin officially became a part of the nearby town of Kórnik. Even though it's now part of Kórnik, Bnin still has its own unique charm and history.
