Bob Ray Sanders is a well-known journalist and a leader who fought for equal rights. He was born on April 2, 1947. He worked for a newspaper called the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for many years. He started his career there and later became an important editor and writer. He left the newspaper in 2015.

Early Life and Education
Bob Ray Sanders grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the youngest of 11 children in his family. He went to I.M. Terrell High School and finished in 1965.
After high school, he went to the University of North Texas. He graduated from college in 1969. Later, he was honored by the university for his achievements.
A Career in Journalism
Bob Ray Sanders began his journalism career at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper in 1969, right after college. He also worked in television and radio.
Working in TV and Radio
In 1972, he started working at KERA-TV as a reporter. He became very important there. He managed KERA Radio and was a vice president at KERA-TV. He also hosted and produced a show called "News Addition," which won awards.
Helping the Community
In 2018, Bob Ray Sanders was chosen to help lead a special group in Fort Worth. This group, called the Race and Culture Task Force, worked to improve understanding and fairness among different groups of people in the city.
