Discovering the Gallery

The Borough Road Gallery is dedicated to showing the art of David Bomberg and a group of artists he taught. This group was called the Borough Group. Bomberg was a teacher at the Borough Polytechnic, which is now London South Bank University. The gallery helps keep his artistic ideas and the work of his students alive.

What You Can See

The gallery is home to the Sarah Rose Collection. This collection includes about 150 artworks by David Bomberg and other artists from the Borough Group. It's a fantastic way to see how these artists explored different styles and ideas in their paintings.

When Did It Open?

The Borough Road Gallery first opened its doors in June 2012. It was made possible with help from the UK Heritage Lottery Fund, which supports projects that celebrate Britain's heritage.
