Boston is a small place in Highland County, Ohio, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community," which means it's not a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History of Boston, Ohio
Boston was first planned out in the year 1840. It was given its name because it reminded people of the much larger city of Boston, Massachusetts.
For a while, Boston also had another name: Dallas. A post office was opened there in 1845, and it was known as the Dallas post office. This post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1905.
