Bradley Ogden is a well-known American chef. He is famous for his delicious cooking and for starting many restaurants. He also runs a company called Bradley Ogden Hospitality.
Becoming a Chef
Bradley Ogden finished his cooking school studies in 1977. He went to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He was a top student and even won a special award! This award was given to students who were most likely to succeed.
In 1979, Chef Ogden started working as a sous chef. A sous chef is the second-in-command in a kitchen. He worked at the American Restaurant in Kansas City. He learned a lot from his friend and mentor, James Beard. Within six months, Bradley Ogden became the main chef, called an executive chef. He says that fresh, local foods from Native American traditions greatly influenced his cooking style.
In 1983, Chef Ogden became the first executive chef at Campton Place restaurant in San Francisco. Later, in 1989, he opened his own restaurant. It was called the Lark Creek Inn, located in Larkspur, California.
Opening Restaurants
In 2003, Chef Ogden moved to Las Vegas. There, he opened a new restaurant inside Caesars Palace. He worked with his son, Bryan, who is also a chef. This was the first restaurant Chef Ogden opened outside of California. Both of these restaurants have since closed.
Chef Bradley Ogden also helped start Bradley Ogden Hospitality. He was a managing partner in this group with his son, Chef Bryan Ogden. This company focused on many things. These included creating new restaurants and developing new food products.
In 2015, Ogden Hospitality opened four new restaurants. These included The Pour Society and Bradley's Fine Diner in Houston, Texas. They also opened Bradley's Fine Diner and Bradley's Funky Franks in Menlo Park, California. All of these restaurants have also closed.
As of 2023, Chef Ogden has a new role. He is now the Culinary Director at Marché Bacchus. This is a French-inspired restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is bringing his special "farm-to-table" style to this restaurant. This means using fresh ingredients directly from farms. He is also building a team of chefs to help him achieve his vision.

As of May 2023, Chef Ogden lives in Las Vegas. He has three sons. His son Bryan is also a chef. Another son, Chad, is also a chef at a resort in Macau. His third son, Cory, is a doctor in Woodland Hills, California.
