Braytown, Tennessee facts for kids
Braytown is a small place in Anderson County, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the larger county government.
History
Braytown got its name from the Bray family. This family was among the first people to settle in the area. They arrived in the early 1800s, or even before that time. Their settlement helped create the community we know today as Braytown.
