British Go Association facts for kids
The British Go Association (BGA) helps people play and enjoy the game of Go in the United Kingdom. Go is a very old and clever strategy game that comes from China. The BGA started in 1953. It has about 450 members. The BGA organizes exciting tournaments, publishes a magazine called the British Go Journal, and keeps a list of Go clubs across the country.
British Go Players at World Events
The BGA often sends talented players to big international tournaments. These include the World Amateur Go Championship and the European Go Championship. The BGA also works hard to make Go more popular with young people. For example, students from the UK went to the World Youth Go Championship in 2010 and 2011. This helps young players get better and meet others who love Go.
