Brok Weaver's Fighting Journey
Starting His Career
Brok Weaver began his professional fighting career in 2013. He mostly fought for a group called Island Fights Promotion. During this time, he built a strong record of 13 wins and 4 losses. He even won the Welterweight Championship there.
His skills earned him a spot on Dana White's Contender Series. This is a show where fighters compete to win a contract with the UFC. Brok won his fight by TKO (Technical Knockout) in the second round, which helped him get into the UFC.
Time in the UFC
Brok Weaver made his first appearance in the UFC on February 15, 2020. He fought against Kazula Vargas. Brok won this fight because his opponent, Vargas, used an illegal move (a knee to the head while Brok was on the ground). This led to a disqualification (DQ) win for Brok.
On May 30, 2020, Brok faced Roosevelt Roberts. Brok weighed a little more than the allowed limit for his weight class. Because of this, the fight happened at a "catchweight," meaning they agreed on a slightly different weight. Brok lost this fight in the second round by submission.
Later, Brok was supposed to fight Frank Camacho on September 12, 2020. However, Camacho had to pull out of the fight. Instead, Brok fought Jalin Turner at another catchweight. Brok lost this fight in the second round by submission as well.
In March 2021, Brok announced that he was no longer fighting for the UFC.
After the UFC
After leaving the UFC, Brok Weaver had his first fight on April 2, 2021. He fought Alexander Barahona at iKon Fighting Federation 6. Brok won this match by a unanimous decision, meaning all the judges agreed he won.
He also competed in the first event of Jorge Masvidal's Gamebred Fighting Championship on June 18, 2021. Here, he defeated Cliff Wright in the second round.
Joining the PFL
Brok Weaver then signed a two-year contract to fight with the PFL. He was set to make his PFL debut on August 27, 2021, against Brandon Jenkins. However, this fight did not happen, and Brok has not competed since then.
Brok's Life Outside the Ring
Brok Weaver is a member of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians. This is a Native American tribe.
In October 2021, Brok started a new job. He became a deputy sheriff for Clarke County. This means he helps keep the peace and enforce laws in the community.
