About the Series
The Bruno & Boots movies bring to life the funny and exciting stories from the Macdonald Hall book series. These books are known as young adult novels, which means they are written for readers around your age. Gordon Korman started writing these books when he was very young himself!
The series focuses on the friendship between Bruno Walton and Melvin "Boots" O'Neal. They live at Macdonald Hall, a boarding school for boys. Their adventures often involve clever schemes and getting into (and out of) trouble.
The Films
So far, three movies have been released in the Bruno & Boots series:
- The first movie, Go Jump in the Pool!, came out in 2016. It introduced viewers to the world of Macdonald Hall.
- In 2017, two more movies were released: This Can't Be Happening at Macdonald Hall and The Wizzle War. These films continued the boys' exciting stories.
Awards and Recognition
The second film, This Can't Be Happening at Macdonald Hall, was recognized for its quality. It received a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award in 2018. This award was for "Best Limited Series or Program," which means it was considered one of the best short TV series or movies of the year in Canada.
