The Museum Building

The museum first opened at 1834 Southmore Blvd. In 2012, it moved to its current home at 3816 Caroline Street. This building was built in 1925. It used to be the main office for a group called the Houston Light Guards.

In 2022, the museum received help to fix up its building. The National Trust for Historic Preservation gave them money for repairs. This helps keep the historic building in good shape for visitors.
