Bunny Bop! was a fun web series made for young children. It was created and directed by Cheryl Wagner. She also wrote the stories and episodes with Harmony Wagner, who also wrote the catchy theme song.

It first came out on February 3, 2011, on Bunnybop.com. This was right around the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit! Bunny Bop! was special because it was one of the first shows to get money from a fund that helps create new web series.

What is Bunny Bop! About?

Bunny Bop! shows preschool children dressed in cute bunny suits. They play barefoot, exploring wooden toys, doing yoga, and building with blocks. They interact and have fun in a garden-like setting. These young "bunnyboppers" show how diverse our world is, making sure every viewer feels included.

Each five-minute episode of Bunny Bop! has a storybook part. This part stars 'Buddy Bunny', a bouncy puppet who loves carrots. His friends, 'Posey the Caterpillar' and 'Beep the Butterfly', also join in. All the puppets were designed by Karen Valleau, who won an Emmy Award. She also designed characters for The Big Comfy Couch.

The web series includes original songs like "Bunnies Love Bubbles." A gentle voice-over narration by 'Grandma Bunny' (voiced by Laurel Smyth) helps tell the stories. Some kids off-screen also help. The show has a slow pace, which is perfect for very young viewers.

Meet the Bunny Bop! Characters

Buddy Bunny: The Main Star

Buddy Bunny is the main character of the series. He is an orange and cream colored bunny. Buddy loves to play, hop, learn new things, and eat carrots. He doesn't talk, but he shows what he's feeling and interacts using his body language.

Posey the Caterpillar: Buddy's Friend

Posey the Caterpillar is one of Buddy Bunny's friends. She is a green female caterpillar. Posey loves to play and learn with Buddy. Like Buddy, she also doesn't talk.

Beep the Butterfly: Another Friend

Beep the Butterfly is another friend of Buddy's. She is a purple and yellow butterfly with pink, orange, navy, and light blue spots on her wings. Beep interacts with others, but only through noises and by saying "beep."

Many talented people controlled the puppets for these characters. They included Harmony Wagner, Cecily Lalande, Matt Bowness, Nick Graveline, and Mindy Walker.
