Bushnell, Missouri facts for kids
Bushnell is a small place located in Barton County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means that Bushnell is a group of homes and people, but it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town would. Instead, it is managed by the larger county government of Barton County.
History
The community of Bushnell was named after its founder, a person called Andy Bushnell. A post office was opened in Bushnell in 1888. This was an important place for people to send and receive mail. However, the post office did not stay open for very long. It closed down in 1901, after serving the community for about 13 years.
