Club Baloncesto Tíjola, often called Promobys Tíjola because of its sponsor, was a professional basketball team. It was based in the town of Tíjola, which is in Almería, Andalusia, Spain. The club was started in 1992. In 2011, the team decided to leave the LEB Plata league.

The Journey of CB Tíjola
CB Tíjola played in several different basketball leagues in Spain. They worked their way up through the divisions.
Starting in Liga EBA
From 2005 to 2007, the team played in the Liga EBA. This was a lower division in Spanish basketball. They gained experience and improved their skills during these years.
Moving to LEB Bronce
In 2007, CB Tíjola moved up to the LEB Bronce league. This was a step higher in the professional basketball system. They played there for two seasons.
In the 2008–09 season, they had a very good year. They finished 5th in the league. They also reached the final of the Copa LEB Bronce cup competition. This showed they were a strong team.
Reaching LEB Plata
The team then moved up to LEB Plata for the 2009–10 season. This was an even higher professional league. They continued to play well, finishing 3rd in their first season in LEB Plata.
In the 2010–11 season, they again had a strong performance. They finished 4th in the league. However, after this season, the club decided to stop competing in the LEB Plata league. This meant the end of their time as a professional basketball team.
