CJ Walker (born March 24, 1997) is an American basketball player who played professionally for a short time. He is known for his college basketball career. He played for two big college teams: the Florida State Seminoles and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Early Life and High School Basketball
CJ Walker grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He went to Arsenal Technical High School in his hometown. During his last year of high school, he was a star player. He won the Indianapolis Coaches Association Player of the Year award.
He averaged impressive numbers that season. He scored about 24 points, made 5 assists, and had 3 steals per game. After high school, CJ decided to play college basketball for Florida State.
College Basketball Journey
Playing for Florida State
CJ Walker started his college career at Florida State. In his first year, he played in 33 games. He usually came off the bench, meaning he was a substitute player. He averaged nearly 5 points per game.
In his second year, CJ became a starter for almost every game. He averaged 8 points, 2.4 assists, and 1 steal per game. That year, Florida State made it far in the NCAA tournament. They reached the "Elite Eight," which is the round before the Final Four. After this successful season, CJ decided to transfer to another university.
Time with Ohio State
On April 8, 2018, CJ Walker committed to play for Ohio State. Due to NCAA rules for transfers, he had to sit out the 2018–19 season. This meant he couldn't play in games that year.
When he returned for his junior season, he played very well. He averaged 8.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He scored his highest points in a game that season with 18 points against Nebraska.
In his final college season, CJ faced a hand injury. He missed four games in January because of it. He played in the Big Ten tournament championship game. He scored 16 points and even made a three-pointer at the buzzer. This shot was exciting, but it didn't change the game's outcome. He finished his senior year averaging 9.5 points and 4.4 assists per game. He was also excellent at free throws, making 94% of them.
After his college career, CJ Walker decided to try for the 2021 NBA draft. He hired an agent, which meant he would not return to college.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, CJ Walker began his professional basketball journey. On August 13, 2021, he signed his first professional contract. He joined a team called ETHA Engomis in Cyprus. However, he left the team before playing any games.
Later, on September 27, he signed with Phoenix Hagen. This team plays in the German ProA league. He played for Phoenix Hagen during the 2021–2022 season.
Life After Basketball
CJ Walker is married to Taylor Ramey. They have a daughter named Summer, born in 2019, and a son named Skylar, born in 2023. After his professional playing career, CJ returned to his hometown. He now works as an assistant coach. He coaches the Girls Varsity basketball team at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
