Camel's Back Park is a fun, 11-acre (4.5 ha) park located in Boise, Idaho. It's a great place for outdoor activities and is managed by the Boise Parks and Recreation Department. The park offers many things to do for visitors of all ages.

You can find picnic tables for lunch, play areas for younger kids, and an outdoor gym for exercise. There are also practice fields for sports and courts for tennis and volleyball. The park is right next to the 63-acre (25 ha) Camel's Back Reserve and the 292-acre (118 ha) Hulls Gulch Reserve, which are perfect for exploring nature.

Park History

The land for Camel's Back Park was a gift in 1932. It was donated by Bernard Lemp. His father, John Lemp, was an early leader in Boise and even served as mayor. The park officially opened to the public in 1965.

In 2015, a company called Bodybuilding.com helped add an outdoor gym to the park. This made it even better for people who love to stay active.

Later, in 2016, city planners worked to fix problems with soil washing away. Then, in 2017, new stone steps were built. These steps help people safely climb the steepest part of the trail from the park.
