A Look Back: Camp Brosend's Story
How It Started
Camp Brosend began a long time ago, in 1949. Most of the camp buildings were ready by 1953. A minister from the General Baptist church and his wife helped make it happen. They even gave 20 acres of their own land for the camp!
Growing Over the Years
By 1984, a person named Ken Nelson was helping to run the camp. It was still connected to the General Baptists. At that time, the camp had grown to 40 acres. Even though it was used for religious events, its main purpose was a youth camp.
Recent Activities
In the early 2010s, Camp Brosend was a place for exciting archery camps. As of 2022, the camp is still open and active. It continues to focus on religious teachings and works closely with the General Baptists.
