Carlo Croccolo (born April 9, 1927 – died October 12, 2019) was a very talented Italian actor. He was also a voice actor, director, and screenwriter. He made people laugh and think in over 100 films and many plays.

About Carlo Croccolo
Carlo Croccolo was born in the beautiful city of Naples, Italy. He started his acting journey on the radio in 1949. Soon after, he began appearing in movies. His first film was The Firemen of Viggiù in 1949. He also started working on television in 1956.
His Acting Career
Carlo Croccolo became very well-known for working with another famous Italian actor, Totò. They made many popular films together in the 1950s and 1960s. Carlo also acted in a big international movie called In Love and War in 1996. This film was directed by Richard Attenborough.
Besides movies, Carlo loved acting in plays. He often performed in shows directed by famous theater directors like Eduardo De Filippo and Giorgio Strehler. He had a very busy and successful career on stage.
His Voice Acting Work
Carlo Croccolo was also a skilled voice actor. He was the Italian voice for Oliver Hardy in the classic comedy duo Laurel and Hardy. He first voiced Oliver Hardy in the early 1950s. Later, he did it again in the late 1960s.
Interestingly, Carlo also became the voice for Totò in some of his films starting in 1957. This shows how versatile and talented he was.
Awards and Later Life
In 1989, Carlo Croccolo won a special award called the David di Donatello. This award was for best supporting actor in the film 'O Re. It was a big honor for his acting work.
Carlo Croccolo passed away at his home in Castel Volturno on October 12, 2019. He was 92 years old. His funeral was held in Naples, and his family chose for him to be cremated.
