Carlos Augusto Zopolato Neves (born on January 7, 1999), known as Carlos Augusto, is a Brazilian professional footballer. He plays as a left-back or left wing-back for the Italian club Inter Milan. He also plays for the Brazil national team. Carlos Augusto is known for his strong defense and good crossing skills. He can also play as a centre-back.

Carlos Augusto's Football Journey
Starting at Corinthians
Carlos Augusto began his football career at the age of 12 with Corinthians. He was part of the youth team that won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2017. This is a very important youth tournament in Brazil.
He made his first professional appearance for Corinthians in July 2018. His official debut as a starter was in August of the same year. Carlos played 32 official games for Corinthians and scored one goal. He also helped his team win the Campeonato Paulista (a state championship) twice, in 2018 and 2019.
Playing for Monza
On August 28, 2020, Carlos Augusto moved to Monza, a team that had just been promoted to Serie B (the second-highest league in Italy). He scored his first goal for Monza in December 2020. This goal made him the youngest defender in the 2020–21 Serie B season to score from a long distance.
He continued to play well, scoring another goal in December. Carlos was even named in the Serie B Team of the Season for his great performance. He finished that season with three goals and two assists.
In the 2021–22 season, Carlos scored in the 2021–22 Coppa Italia (Italian Cup). He was a key player in helping Monza get promoted to Serie A (Italy's top league) for the first time ever. They won a special play-off final to achieve this.
Carlos made his Serie A debut in August 2022. He scored his first Serie A goal in October, helping Monza win a home game. He ended the season with six goals and five assists, showing his attacking skills.
Joining Inter Milan
On August 15, 2023, Carlos Augusto joined Inter Milan, one of Italy's biggest clubs. He joined on a one-year loan deal, which meant Inter Milan had the option to buy him permanently later.
On December 20, 2023, Carlos scored his first goal for Inter Milan in a Coppa Italia match. He officially joined Inter Milan permanently in 2024. As of July 2025, he has played 29 games and scored 3 goals for Inter Milan in the 2024-25 season.
