Carol Ann Alt (born December 1, 1960) is a famous American model and actress. She became well-known in the 1980s as a "supermodel," appearing on hundreds of magazine covers. Later, she also became an actress and author, sharing her knowledge about healthy living.

Early Life and Big Dreams
Carol Alt was born in Flushing, Queens, New York City. Her mom worked for an airline and was also a model, and her dad was a fire chief. Carol is the third of four children.
When she was 18, Carol was working as a waitress. She decided to try modeling as a summer job to save money for college. This decision changed her life!
Becoming a Supermodel
Carol's modeling career took off in 1979 when she appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine. She became even more famous in 1982 when she was featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
During the 1980s, Carol Alt was one of the most recognized models in the world. She appeared on over 500 magazine covers, including Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan. Life Magazine even called her "The Face."
She also became the face of many big advertising campaigns for brands like Diet Pepsi, General Motors, and Cover Girl Cosmetics. Carol was also the first model to create her own posters and calendars.
Acting and TV Shows
Since 1986, Carol Alt has acted in many films and TV shows. Many of her early movies were made in Italy. She played Kelly LaRue in the TV series "Thunder in Paradise" in 1994. She also had roles in films like The Protector and the TV series Amazon.
Carol has appeared in a few other TV shows, including an episode of Wings and a voice role in King of the Hill. In 2004, she starred in the Canadian film Snakehead Terror. She also appeared in Italian TV series like Caterina e le sue figlie 2.
In 2009, she was a contestant on the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars. Later, in 2013, she became a judge for Miss Universe 2013.

In 2006, Carol was honored as the Grand Marshal at the German-American Steuben Parade in New York City. This is a big celebration of German-American friendship.
In 2008, she was a contestant on NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice, hosted by Donald Trump. She competed to raise money for her charity, the Tony Alt Memorial Foundation. This foundation helps young adults get scholarships for their studies. Carol raised $40,000 for her charity.

Personal Life
Carol Alt married former New York Rangers hockey player Ron Greschner in 1983. They divorced in 1996. After that, Carol was in a long-term relationship with another former hockey player, Alexei Yashin.
