Building Casino New Brunswick
Planning and Construction
In 2008, a company called Sonco Gaming New Brunswick Limited Partnership was chosen to build a new entertainment complex in New Brunswick. They signed an agreement with the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation on July 15, 2008.
Construction of the complex began in October 2008. A company from Atlantic Canada called Marco Group built it. The project cost about $90 million to complete.
Opening Day
The entire complex, including the hotel, entertainment center, and restaurants, officially opened in 2010. It quickly became a well-known place for visitors and locals in Moncton.
New Ownership
In May 2015, Sonco Gaming decided to sell the casino. Another company, Great Canadian Gaming, bought it for $95 million. Great Canadian Gaming now owns and operates Casino New Brunswick.
