Early Achievements

Catriona started winning big medals early in her career. In 2005, she earned a silver medal at the ITU Duathlon World Championships. The next year, 2006, was even better when she won a gold medal at the same event. She also got a silver medal at the Long Distance Duathlon World Championships that year.

In 2007, Catriona won a bronze medal at the Long Distance Triathlon World Championships in Lorient. She also became the World Powerman Duathlon Long Distance Champion in both 2007 and 2008.

More World Championship Wins

Catriona continued her success in 2010. In Edinburgh, she won a gold medal for a second time at the Duathlon World Championships. Her winning time was 2 hours, 2 minutes, and 48 seconds.

Ironman Success

Catriona also had many wins in triathlon, especially in the challenging Ironman 70.3 events. She won the St Croix Ironman 70.3 four times. She also won Ironman 70.3 races in the UK and Galveston. Catriona also won full Ironman titles, including Ironman Texas and Ironman Lanzarote. In Lanzarote, she famously overcame a 45-minute problem with her bike to still win the race.

Retirement and New Ventures

Catriona retired from professional triathlon and duathlon in January 2015. After retiring, she completed the Saltire Fellowship. This is a special program for entrepreneurs based in Scotland and at Babson College in Boston. She also serves as a member of the court at the University of Stirling.

Catriona is an athlete role model for the "Winning Scotland Foundation." She visits schools and junior sports clubs. Her goal is to encourage, inspire, and motivate young people through sports.

Recognition and Everactiv

In 2015, Catriona Morrison was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). This honor was given to her for her great contributions to sport and her volunteer work in Scotland.
